Years ago one of my best friend bought me a pair of the “perfect push up” handles. Years later I’m still using them and its become invaluable during this work from home situation with no access to a gym. They work by simply rotating as you’re performing each push up, therefore giving your muscles an extra squeeze. Also, I have weak wrists, so by having a handle, I find it relieves the strain on my wrist and channels the stress through my frame.
What I added to my home workout setup is the pull up bar. For that, I consulted the Wirecutter for their recommendation, which I found to be in the right price range. I also wanted something that would fit in a door frame, and not require a permanent installation on my wall. This way, I can take it off and put away, or bring into my work office when were allowed back in one day.
These two equipments, with some dips, and a whole lot of cardio is my new routine during this Covid crisis and Stay-At-Home orders. Just because there’s no gym, doesn’t mean that’s an excuse to not get in even better shape.
