5 Tips for Better Phone Habits  – Venture Out – Oct 2, 2018

This morning I’m grateful for the potential for great moments today.

I’m writing this on a Sunday, just past 6AM, at a coffee shop.  This has been one of my favorite things to do lately – to get a really early productive start on my last weekend day.  Sometimes I come in wearing full biking gear even though I live just a mile away, but the baristas don’t know that!  This journal concludes our 3-part discussion on how to better use our time regarding phones.  Below I present 5 tips you can do right now to instill better phone habits.

5 Tips for Better Phone Habits

  1. Instapaper – Save online articles to read later, without wifi, and without all the ads.

  2. Podcasts – I’ll be starting a long series on podcast recommendations soon, so stay tuned.

  3. To-Do lists – Whether it’s the stock Reminders app or something more fancy, use it to declutter what’s on your mind.

  4. Journaling – Take the challenge and self reflect before going to bed, 7 days in a row.

  5. Meditation – My personal favorite, Headspace.  Try it for free for 30 days.
