Rewire Your Brain to be Happier  – Venture Out – Sep 20, 2018

Today I’m happy to be in full control of my faculties. Today I’ll make attempts to be bold.

Today concludes our 3-part journey towards being a happier person.  These are small steps we are taking, but foundational ones.  My belief is that smaller steps like these have a better chance of taking root deep within us, versus big dramatic changes in our life like becoming a hipster by buying a tweed jacket and growing a massive beard (which I can’t because I’m asian).  Keep up with the habit and I hope more happiness creeps into your life!

Journaling has been shown to increase happiness and luck!  Yeah, journaling sounds like keeping a diary, and then there’s the fear it won’t stay private.  With the plethora of technologies and apps available on our devices, there’s really no excuse.  The science goes, if we can make it a habit to reflect on our day, those few minutes of active thinking lets us realize things aren’t that bad.  The habit of doing this, even for just a few days, starts to rewire the way we think about ourselves.  In doing so, we allow ourselves to be open to more good things, i.e. luck.
