How to be Happier Now  – Venture Out – Sep 16, 2018

Today I’m grateful for the flexibility and the unknowns. Today I’ll exemplify love and force myself not to expect any back.

I’ve had more time on my hands these days not being in a relationship. That’s naturally led me to question – what is happiness, am I happy, can I ever be happy?!  I know I’m a happy person naturally, but why is that?  Over the next couple journals, we’ll deconstruct the research around happiness and we will DO SOMETHING about it.  So, come do it with me… wait a sec, that didn’t come out right…

What does happiness in our life mean?  Research shows it’s when meaning is connected to something beyond yourself.  That something ‘more’ can be family, God, nature – basically anything that’s not about ourself!  Listen to the Science of Success episode Stop Chasing Happiness and Do This Instead with Emily Esfahani Smith.
