Today I will genuinely enjoy the events of the day.

Today’s journal concludes our 3-part discussion on arranging our day based on our body’s natural peak performance time.  I’ve studied a lot of other super productive people and they get SERIOUS about optimizing their day.  I’m not saying you should go that hardcore, but there’s a nugget of truth there. Challenge yourself to change your habit today to better optimize your day.  A small change today could yield long-term dividends in productivity.

Takeaways from Timing Tips for Optimum Performance by Dan Pink:

Protect Your Mornings – If you’re a lark (morning person), it’s crucial you guard that first few hours when you have the most mental power to tackle your most challenging work.  After the morning is gone, the quality of your decision-making goes down.

Time Your Meetings – Tackle analytical problems in the morning and save creative pursuits for later in the afternoon and early evening. When you can, schedule important calls and meetings earlier in the day.
